André Simonyi
André Simonyi is an assistant professor at the Collège militaire royal de St-Jean and lecturer at the New School in New York. He studies the reconciliation between the political as a philosophical stance and its emergence in the everyday unfolding of politics through the lens of Complexity Thinking. He holds a PhD in political science from the University of Ottawa and studied at the War College in Paris.
Anchored in phenomenology, he studies political violence, conflicts and wars to examine the global as a complex adaptive system. Apart from his academic research, he worked extensively in the field of international conflicts and wars and in various strategic planning positions.
He is currently co-editing a book manuscript on Religions and Political Modernities. He is also working on a manuscript on the contemporary emergence of the global political environment through the lens of political violence.
