Jocelyn Turgeon

Jocelyn is a retired Naval Commander (RCN) and Engineering Manager currently working as Senior Naval Architect for BMT Canada. A significant portion of his Naval and of his Public Service career has been supporting the Canadian Victoria Class Submarines. He is a part-time professor at the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa and at the Université du Québec en Outaouais. He teaches Competitive Intelligence, Project Management, and Creative Problem Solving.

A member of the Archipelago of Design, he has been involved with the coaching and mentoring of Canadian Forces College officers. He supported the Breakthrough Serious Game at the School of Public Service, at the Canadian Forces College, and at Carleton University. Doctoral Student in Business Administration with a focus on Project Management, he has a particular interest in supporting and improving Decision-Making in Complex Environments. For that, he can leverage Design Thinking, Systems Thinking, and Serious Games.

He directed the Master of Business in Complex Project Leadership at the Telfer School of Management for two and a half years; a program dedicated to improving the skills of the Project Manager in charge of large complex projects. A long-time wargamer, his long-standing interest for simulation and board games is now merging with Serious Games in the pursuit of improved Decision-Making for individuals and Teams.
