By subscribing to a Designer Membership from Archipelago of Design (“AOD”) the subscriber (“Member”) agrees to the following terms and conditions:

Member Benefits

As of part of membership with AOD, the Member will receive the following benefits:

– A regular webpage profile highlighting your content related to design & innovative thinking

– Monthly Mentorship with a senior member

– Access to a members-only Discord channel

– Early/extended media access

– Access to Governance Committees

– Voting in the Annual General Meeting

Membership Dues

The Designer membership cost is $15 CAD per month, payable through https://Ko-fi.com.

Senior members will provide 30 minutes of mentorship per month to a junior member, pro bono. AOD will facilitate the matchmaking between junior and senior members.

Eligibility 

The Member resides in a NATO member or partner country. If not, the member received approval to become a member from the AOD Guild council. 

Applicants believe in AOD’s vision, contribute to AOD’s Mission and respect AOD’s bylaws including our values and rules. 

Member Identification 

For security purposes, the Member will identify with the AOD guild council and the AOD community by sharing their name, affiliation and email address. 

Restrictions

The Member agrees that they will not:

– Share their login information with non-members

– Reproduce any of the information or content received as part of their membership and share it with non-members

– Post inappropriate, inaccurate or offensive content to membership forums and discussions

– Solicit business, spam, or self-promote during AOD activities

Liability

The Member will not hold the Organization liable for any tangible or intangible damage that might happen to them while participating in the membership.

The Member agrees that the Organization cannot guarantee any results from their membership. Any negative or positive results that might occur during the membership are the result of the Member’s own personal choices. 

Privacy

The Organization will not share any contact or personal information about the Member with other members, non-members or any third parties. 

Membership Termination

The Organization has a right to terminate the Member’s membership if any of the terms and the conditions of this Agreement are violated. The Organization or the Member can terminate membership at any point without sharing the reason and will not be charged for their next billing cycle.
